Meetings and Upcoming Events

Meetings 2025

Sudbury Ephemera Archive are once again holding their bi-monthly working sessions at Sudbury Town Hall. However, to keep our volunteers safe, would members of the public wishing to join a session please contact us (by phone or email) beforehand, as we are limited in the space we have at these sessions.

Please note: there will be no sessions held at Sudbury Town Hall on Monday 14 April and Wednesday 28 May.

Due to circumstances beyond our control SEA will not be meeting on Wednesday 26th March.

Donations

SEA is always pleased and delighted to accept donations of items, but will need prior notice to discuss how and when we can arrange handover of them.  We can be contacted by phone or email, or you can leave your details with Sudbury Town Hall.

Speaker available

If your club, society or function would like to hear a talk on any of the following topics, please contact Sue Tibbetts (susantibbetts@me.com, 07846 885909). No fee is charged, but a donation towards the work of the Sudbury Ephemera Archive is appreciated.

Topic
Transportation or emigration? This is about the convicts (from Sudbury and North Essex and their crimes) sent to Van Diemen’s Land (now know as Tasmania) and the families who followed them to settle there rather than return home. Included in the talk are details of the conditions these convicts and passengers suffered on the journey.
